4 of our Mini Police Officers we’re selected this week to travel to London to take part in a number of amazing experiences. Firstly, they presented at New Scotland Yard before travelling to the Houses of Parliament to have a quick tour before meeting Amber Rudd MP, the Home Secretary, in her private office.
This was an amazing, once in a life time experience for the pupils. I was extremely proud of their behaviour and attitude during a daunting and unusual visit.
Later in the day they presented at the Home Office to explain to everyone there who the Mini Police are and some of the experiences they have had.
If that wasn’t special enough, the pupils then had a trip on the London Eye before a bite to eat.
The following day, all 4 officers attended the awards ceremony where the Mini Police Scheme in Durham received a special award.
What an action packed trip and a great experience for 4 of our oldest pupils!
Many thanks to Craig Johnson for selected our school, and pupils, to take part in this wonderful trip.
