In Class Three we have been reading The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton. This week, we read the section in which the children owe Moon-Face some toffee because he let them slide down the Faraway Tree on his slippery-slip. To help us with our writing, we imagined we were the children in the story and we made our very own toffee to give to Moon-Face. Whilst making the toffee we talked about the smells, textures and colours of the ingredients and included all of these in our writing. All the children in Class Three wrote brilliant stories about making the toffee for Moon-Face, well done! However, the children thought the best part of the activity was eating the toffee!
